Prayer:

"Our Father which art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power and the glory for ever. Amen. Matthew 6:9-13

"but deliver us from evil:" literally means "from the evil one" - No one needs to explain to us why we need to pray daily to be kept from "the evil one"! Always prowling about seeking whom he may devour and setting nasty "mind traps" for us to fall into! We need all the protection we can get - and have it as we put on the whole armor of God daily! Let's not think we can advance into any day without protection! We are still in enemy territory!
