The Promises of God:

And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them" (Isaiah 42:16).

There are quite a few promises here! Crooked things straight sounds like tonic to my heart - It's not difficult to recognize the "crookedness" - how comforting to know I belong to ONE who promises to make my crookedness straight! Tacked on is another huge comfort - ..."and not forsake them..." Someone who is willing to straighten my crookedness AND who will not forsake me! Now that's enough to turn up the corners of any glum day! Verses like this make me feel hugged. So tuck these thoughts in your heart today and carry heavens hug with you everywhere you go.
