The Promises of God:
And the LORD thy God will
circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God
with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live"
(Deuteronomy 30:6).
Another promise where God promises
to make a heart change for us that gives us the "will" and capacity
to do what on our own will and power we could never do. At first thought it
seems like we should be able to handle this part of it - "love the Lord
with all your heart..." after all He's done for us it seems like that
should not be a problem. However, we see as we go along that unless HE comes
and enables us to love Him like that our love fades and turns to other things.
What love that goes beyond our limitations and enables us! Hallelujah! What a
Savior!
Today is the National Day of Prayer
- so take a few moments to lift up our government and its leaders as well as
all the churches across our land. Pray for revival fires to catch from coast to
coast! Prayer changes things!
