The Promises of God:
"Ask, and it shall be given
you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: for every
one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that
knocketh it shall be opened. If ye then, being evil, know how to give good
gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven
give good things to them that ask him?" (Matthew 7:7, 8, 11).
Notice it does not say anything
about "whining" or "wishing" or "hoping" - It
says a lot about - direct asking and receiving - knocking and opening - seeking
and finding. When our praying sounds like ranting and raving or whining and
nagging - remember - we have ACCESS with BOLDNESS to the throne room of heaven!
If your adult child came crawling to you begging for a dollar - you would be
insulted and maybe even mad - certainly grieved that they felt that was an
appropriate way to ask you for a dollar - are you getting the picture?????? :-)
Come then with BOLDNESS and then expectantly await the answers!
