The Promises of God:

"The LORD thy God is a merciful God; he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee" (Deuteronomy 4:31).

Think of such mercy! It is because of HIS mercy that we are not consumed! His mercies fail not - they are NEW every morning! HE has the power and ability to destroy mankind - but HE is longsuffering not willing that any should perish but that ALL should come to repentance! What mercy! What love! That's our God!
