The Promises of God:

"The promise is unto you, and to your children" (Acts 2:39).

What promise? Verse 38 says:

 "Repent and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." 

What a GIFT! It's not to be earned or worked up to it's just an OUTRIGHT GIFT of the Father! What's our part ? RECEIVE the Gift! The Gift of the Holy Spirit REALLY is the gift that keeps on GIVING! HE empowers us moment by moment, teaches us, comforts us, equips us, the list is endless! Don't forget to receive your GIFT today!
