WHO I AM IN CHRIST!

I am reconciled to God

2 Corinthians 5:18

Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation.

The Message Bible reads:

All this comes from the God who settled the relationship between us and him, and then called us to settle our relationships with each other.

Broken relationships we are familiar with - fixing them - that's the hard part! God could have given us up as a bad job - broken relationship - and left it at that! BUT HALLELUJAH HE DID NOT DO THAT! He found us worth being reconciled with! In other words HE found a way to fix our broken relationship - let US value our relationship with HIM today and let Him know how very THANKFUL we are that He did not give us up as a "bad job"!

WHO I AM IN CHRIST!

I am one in whom God has an inheritance!

Ephesians 1:17 & 18

I pray...that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him. The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.

Here's the way that's translated in the Message Bible:

I ask - ask the God of our Master, Jesus Christ, the God of glory - to make you intelligent and discerning in knowing him personally, your eyes focused and clear, so that you can see exactly what it is he is calling you to do, grasp the immensity of this glorious way of life he has for Christians, oh, the utter extravagance of his work in us who trust him - endless energy, boundless strength.

We are HEIRS! What a legacy! Can you beat that? We are saints! Yes you ARE! That means you are holy and set apart for God! Saint ___________ fill in the blank with YOUR name! :-) If you've always wanted to be rich - well, guess what ? - You are! It only gets better! An inheritance is only usually left to one "near and dear! That's you and me!  Hallelujah!

WHO I AM IN CHRIST!

I am valuable to God

Matthew 10:31

Do not fear therefore, you are of more value than many sparrows.

A sparrow is one of the most common birds and a very small one at that! To you and me in the whole scheme of things one sparrow more or less does not seem that important, but thankfully, God is not like US! He carefully watches over us and even notes the falling sparrow. But JESUS says here that we are of more value than MANY sparrows! If you are feeling insignificant in the whole scheme of things - REMEMBER in the words of an old hymn, - "His eye is on the sparrow and I know He watches me." This should make you feel hugged by the Father today!

WHO I AM IN CHRIST!

I am BLOOD bought!

I Peter 1:19

Knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.

Revelation 5:9

And they sang a new song, saying: You are worthy to take the scroll, and to open its seals; for You were slain, and have redeemed us to God by Your blood...

Can you imagine going to the supermarket, placing your groceries up on the belt and the cashier ringing them up and then telling you how much blood that would cost you as she brought out a needle! I for one, would not be shopping there! Think of it - God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, knew the price for our redemption was the Son's blood! Nothing else would satisfy the debt of sin! Although the cost was GREAT - God's LOVE was GREATER! Hallelujah!

Often the blood of another person can save another's life (by transfusion) - but JESUS blood saves the life of everyone who believes on HIM!!! What precious blood! Walk into this day knowing you are BLOOD bought and loved beyond measure!

WHO I AM IN CHRIST!

I am bought with a price!

I Corinthians 6:20

"For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's."

WOW! That increases our WORTH immediately! We value things by the price that is set on them! So the next time you are feeling worthless, please remember the huge amount of WORTH you have to God! That's enough to make us all walk tall today with our heads held high!

 WHO I AM IN CHRIST!

There is a contemporary song that voices the question "WHO AM I"? The song writer answers with  lines like "a wave tossed in the ocean" - "a flower quickly fading" - "here today and gone tomorrow" etc. When we look into God's WORD - the answers to that question "WHO AM I" are so enriching that it will change our lives if we meditate on them daily! So here's the first one:

"I am Redeemed"!

Revelation 5:9

And they sang a new song, saying: "You are worthy to take the scroll, and to open its seals; For you were slain, and have REDEEMED us to God by Your blood out of every tribe and tongue and nation, and have made us kings and priests to our God; And we shall reign on the earth."
