ADVENT

Isaiah 40:3
The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.

For all of us it is a time of great preparation. Think back to the days just prior to Christ's birth! There were some who were preparing their hearts and looking for redemption in Israel! I love Christmas and all the celebrating because it such a good reminder to PREPARE my heart for CHRIST's indwelling daily! 

Look for Him in each day of this season and new and fresh ways! John the Baptist was sent to PREPARE the way of the Lord! 2000 years ago they looked forward to a Redeemer and He came as a babe in the manger - WE look forward to HIS coming too but not as the babe rather as the KING OF KINGS and LORD OF LORDS! May this advent season find us preparing our hearts as those Israelites of old did because CHRIST IS COMING - COMING SOON! 

As John prepared the way for Messiah to COME - so we with our prepared hearts can prepare the way for the Messiah to COME to us personally, to those around us and back to earth to claim us as HIS bride! As we ponder these thoughts together, may the truths of HIS COMING bless your heart during these days of outward preparation. May it be the most blessed ADVENT you have ever experienced!
