The Promises of God:

"For thou wilt save the afflicted people; but wilt bring down high looks. For thou wilt light my candle: the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness" (Psalm 18:27, 28).

Thank God He cares about those who are afflicted - care enough to "light their candle"! :-) Since He is the LIGHT that is not hard to understand. It is one of the most moving things we see as we look at Jesus Ministry. He reaches out to - cares about - hangs out with - those who are afflicted and need light shed on their darkness! No matter what darkness you may find yourself in today - remember Jesus - the Light of the World will come and shed light on your pathway if you'll ask Him. It's a promise!
