The Promises of God:

And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them (Deuteronomy 28:13).

This is a promise based on a condition IF we hearken (listen) to and follow HIS commands then the blessing is promised - the New Testament tells us that HIS commandments are not grievous - Jesus Himself said, "for my yoke is easy and my burden is light." For a heart "in love" nothing is too much to ask - Let's heat up the fire of love for Jesus today!

Oh love that wilt not let me go,

I rest my weary soul in thee;

I give thee back the life I owe,

That in thine ocean depths its flow

May richer fuller be.

O Cross that liftest up my head,

I dare not ask to hide from thee;

I lay in dust, life's glory dead,

And from the ground there blossoms red
