The Promises of God:

"I will give you the rain of your land in his due season, the first rain and the latter rain, that thou mayest gather in thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil. And I will send grass in thy fields for thy cattle, that thou mayest eat and be full" (Deuteronomy 11:14, 15).

The promise here is for natural rain - but it foreshadows also the promise of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit like rain upon our parched hearts. Jesus, Himself, encouraged His followers to ASK for the refreshing rain of His Spirit and promised that it would be given. So start today with a fresh request for the refreshing rain of the Holy Spirit to shower down upon you as you go out into your day - we would not think of going out into the day without a physical shower - how much more do we need that Holy Ghost shower! Let it rain!
