The Promises of God:

"For them that honour me I will honour" (1Samuel 2:30).

Honor here is referring to obedience. God is looking not for the kind of honor that is bestowed on an Olympic gold medalist - but rather the kind of honor that changes our way of living every day - the kind of living that clearly states that we BELIEVE HE is GOD (of me, of my day, of my circumstances, etc.) - and that HE is the author and finisher of our salvation through Jesus Christ His Son! Salvation is not just a free ticket to heaven - it also needs to affect our daily living in such a way that Jesus becomes visible to those around us - that brings HIM the highest HONOR! Join HIS "honor guard" Just like the American flag commands our honor - when we see it we salute or stand at attention - so may those around us when they see HIM in our daily living - stand in honor and awe of such a wonderful GOD!
